Bookseller, Full Time and Part Time

Our booksellers work together as a team to make sure the bookstore runs smoothly on a daily basis. This is a busy and often fast-moving job. Responsibilities include assisting customers find and shop for books; shelving books; operating cash registers; straightening and tidying the store; researching books for customers; answering phones. When we host in-store events, our booksellers work together to set up and break down the event space, including moving rolling shelving units and setting up and breaking down up to 200+ folding chairs. 

The ideal candidate is someone with a friendly demeanor who enjoys interacting with people, can successfully work on a multi-member team, and who loves to problem solve. Must be available to work a combination of weekdays, nights, and weekends. The position requires an individual who is calm under pressure, able to juggle multiple tasks at once, and who has the ability to be on their feet for long hours. We expect our booksellers to provide the highest quality of customer service and have strong time management skills. This is not a seasonal position, we are looking for someone who can stay with us long term.

Book Revue Wholesale Staff

Book Revue Wholesale is our department dedicated to serving schools, libraries, businesses, government agencies, and nonprofits. Book Revue Wholesale sources books and educational materials for its customers from a wide variety of publishers and distributors and prides itself on its thorough and personal customer service. We are looking for someone to join the Wholesale team to assist with customer service, data management, and order fulfillment. 

This is a full time position. The hours are Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm. The work is fast-paced and requires multitasking. Candidates must have good organizational and time-management skills. Excellent customer service is paramount to success. Candidates should be comfortable speaking on the phone and writing clear, professional correspondence. Must have good data entry skills and strong general computer skills. Familiarity with inventory and accounting software is helpful, but not required. Previous office experience is a plus. Flexibility to work overtime as needed is also a plus. The person in this position will be required to assist other positions as needed so candidates should be comfortable lifting and moving boxes.
