COLIN BRODERICK
hosted by CHRIS CAMPION
Author, rock and roller, and Long Island native CHRIS CAMPION will host Irish writer COLIN BRODERICK at Book Revue when Broderick speaks about and signs his new memoir, Orangutan.

With Orangutan, Colin Broderick offers a raw, honest glimpse inside the life and mind of a hardcore alcoholic—himself.
In 1988, at the age of twenty, Colin Broderick moved from the heart of Northern Ireland to the Bronx to pursue his dream of becoming a writer. Fueled by booze and drugs, burning through lovers and marriages, earning rent money working construction with his fellow Irish immigrants while chasing his dream, Colin Broderick flipped off death for many years, but lived—and regained his sobriety—to write his debut memoir.
In the process of sharing the details of his own life, Colin also addresses the truth of the drunken Irish stereotype and unflinchingly charts what it means to be Irish in America and how the grips of heritage can destroy a man’s soul.
Colin Broderick has been an op-ed contributor to the New York Times and has written for the Irish Voice and the Irish Echo.
Chris Campion is the lead singer of indie band The Knockout Drops and author of the memoir Escape from Bellevue: A Dive Bar Odyssey. He is also a good friend of Colin’s.
