FEATURED AUTHORS:
TERI COYNE, author of The Last Bridge.
For ten years, Alexandra “Cat” Rucker has been on the run from her past. But a sudden call
from an old neighbor forces Cat to return to her Ohio hometown—and to the family she never intended to see again. Cat’s mother is dead, and she’s left a disturbing and confusing suicide note that reads: Cat, He isn’t who you think he is. Mom xxxooo.
Seeking to unravel the mystery of her mother’s death, Cat must confront her past to discover who “he” might be: Her tyrannical father, now in a coma after suffering a stroke? Her brother, Jared, named after her mother’s true love (who is also her father’s best friend)? Or Addison Watkins, Cat’s first and only love?
HYATT BASS, author of The Embers
Blessed with beauty, talent, and a loving family, the Aschers seem to have it all. Joe and
Laura are the toast of New York--a wildly successful playwright and a wealthy, well-educated actress. Then one winter night, seventeen-year-old Thomas dies, and the Aschers lose everything. More than a decade later, as their daughter Emily's wedding approaches, the family yearns to reconnect. But in order to do so, Joe, Laura, and Emily will first have to confront the tangle of blame, guilt, and long-held secrets that tore them apart. Shifting between past and present over the course of sixteen years, The Embers is an utterly gripping and exquisitely tender story of a family struggling to reconcile the past and embrace the future.
TESS CALLAHAN, author of April and Oliver
Best friends since childhood, the sexual tension between April and Oliver has always been
palpable. Years after being completely inseparable, they become strangers, but the wildly different paths of their lives cross once again with the sudden death of April's brother. Oliver, the responsible, newly engaged law student finds himself drawn more than ever to the reckless, mystifying April - and cracks begin to appear in his carefully constructed life. Even as Oliver attempts to "save" his childhood friend from her grief, her menacing boyfriend and herself, it soon becomes apparent that Oliver has some secrets of his own--secrets he hasn't shared with anyone, even his fiancé.
